Asst. Prof. Dr. Ek-karach Charoennit is a Guitarist, Composer and music educator whose work bridges contemporary creativity and traditional music. As a performer, he is recognized for his expressive tone and versatility across classical and modern styles, while his compositional interests explore cultural identity, narrative form, and contemporary soundscapes.

Dr. Ek-karach is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University, Taling Chan, Bangkok, where he is also one of the founding members. He later received the position of Associate Dean at Shinawatra University, reflecting his leadership in academic administration. He actively contributes to academic development, research, and mentorship, while continuing to engage in performances, commissions, and collaborative artistic projects.

Recently, he served as a jury member for the Asia International Guitar Festival, reflecting his influence within the regional guitar community and his commitment to supporting emerging artists. He has also released multiple albums available on all major streaming platforms, highlighting his ongoing dedication to performance and recording. Click to listen

He studied guitar under Professor Mario Rodriguez and Professor Billy V. Guerrero at the University of Santo Tomas, where he earned his Master’s degree in Music in 1992. And earned his D.F.A. (Music), Chulalongkorn University in 2013.
